You are selling yourself short. Basically your giving away 500M ISK to put $1.75 into your pocket.

That is way under market value. You'd be better off reducing that to about 225M ISK ... something a tad higher than Somer, but still preferable. 200M Blink Credit vs. 225 M ISK ... the choice is obvious.

Considering CCP is doing their best to protect Somer's business, I imagine they'll declare this against the TOS.

If they didn't, it would certainly hurt Somer's business, and therefore hurt CCP.

Guessing it would be somewhere along the lines of, "we just sell the GTC then send reference numbers and commission to SOMER, what ever they do with it is their business"

I prefer to use Markeedragon if I can so would be nice to know if he heard back from them (since he's a major GTC seller so I would imagine they would reply him pretty quickly, but I might very well be wrong).

Well, it got shut down, so what implications does this have for yours or Blinks schemes?

I also don't see my non-existant customers getting hurt, whereas yours might get their ISK removed, accounts marked and possibly (temp)banned.

Play it safe people~ CCP can (and will as history shows) ban you for any reason at all if they want to.

Edit: Did you even read their lockthreads? Man. They were trying to be an unofficial ETC reseller which is clearly forbidden ("I'll sell you a GTC for 2000$"). The other one was character lottery, which is also clearly forbidden. Our threads have none of that.

Since you already seem to have a reputation and customer base going, and are eventually going to run out of isk. Have you been able to think of a way to let other kind-hearted individuals wanting to help incentivize GTC sales do so through your service, legally? I for one would love to be as "philanthropic [sic]" as SOMER Blink, were it not for the associated real-world overhead costs. But if you find a way to partially compensate donors to your service, I've got a stack of 25bil gathering dust in Jita that I'm just aching to get rid of. Hell, if I can, I might even funnel the rest of my profits into your charity until the day it becomes unavailable.

Is there an option I'm not seeing? Is there a result that doesn't hurt EvE fan sites?

Ah, so somer are allowed to RMT in this fashion, but no one else is.

ETC + bonus items may not be direclty or indirectly traded by the buyer for isk.

Would seem to very much include Somer.

This will interesting to see what happens, if Somer does not shut off the bonus isk the player rage will make the last 3 weeks look like a warm up exercise.

I'm slightly confused by all the Somer Blink hate here.
I think the only people who have done anything wrong is CCP when they favoured Somer by giving them very valuable free stuff. - and that issue has been dealt with.

Why the all somer hate? Somer appear to be preparing to abide by the new rules just like everyone else. Somer have an offer on to try and squeeze some extra cash out of the 10 day grace period. I've actually taken the offer, but thats a personal choice thing.
Somer look like they are going to abide by the new rules and hopefully won't get any more special treatment by CCP.
